Christmas of 2020, I made one of my best friends a chess set. It was just like the set you see now, but with dorky knight pieces and improvised designs. Throughout the next couple of months, I noticed many people were interested in my set. People who were learning to play, people who love to travel, people who love to be outdoors, people who work 9-5 jobs, and even people who work at home.

I realized there wasn't a huge market for lightweight, convenient, travel chess sets targeted towards casual gamers on the go. So after a lot encouragement from my closest friends, I finally decided to "do the thing", and within 2 weeks, LOVE, KVETKA was born!

I make, craft, paint, and burn every set by hand, meaning no two pieces are exactly the same. My sets are so small and quite malleable that they can easily fit into a small purse, backpack, or just hung onto a carabiner, making it super convenient to bring around with you anywhere.

My biggest mission when setting up LOVE, KVETKA was to use imagination, originality, and ingenuity to make the most convenient chess sets for everyday people on the go. That is still my biggest mission today!
